Many people don’t know how to properly clean their watch, and therefore don’t. This results in disgusting grimy watches.

Here’s the best way I’ve found to keep my watches clean.

I clean all my water resistant/proof watches with dish soap and warm water.

First I make sure the crown is completely screwed in and that there’s no way water or soap can get inside the case.

I take the watch and cover it with soap, making sure to lather it up, getting soap between all the links in the bracelet. Scrub any stubborn arm cheese with a soft bristle toothbrush.

Once you’re done scrubbing, rinse the watch under warm water making sure to remove all the soap. After the watch has been thoroughly rinsed dry it with a soft towel.

Every couple of months I bring it in to a professional to have it cleaned with the ultrasonic cleaner which gets all the dirt and arm cheese out of it.
